SALVADORI ARTE IN PISTOIA, TUSCANY.
Such a wonderful experience ! I had the chance to visit the last foundry in Pistoia ( my birthplace town) and the eaplaination from one of last heir of Pistoia’s great metallurgical tradition , started in the XI century :
Gianluca Salvadori,he explained me the technique – cire perdue – in French – lost wax method – in English – cera persa – in italian.
The same used first by the Egyptians, then by Greeks, Etruscans and Romans.
Very interesting and very long and hard work..
SALVADORI ARTE, founded in 1948 in Pistoia, is producing bronze sculptures for the most important italian and foreign artists.
Some of its bronze sculptures can be found in the most important museums or squares ( as in Piazza della Signoria in Florence for the replica of “Judith and Holofernes” by Donatello)as well as in art collections in the world and in parks and squares in varius cities of art.
They also producing tables,table-lamps,candle sticks using the customer’s requests on every kind of forniture, both indoors and outdoors for the everyday life.
So proud to belong to this small city full of art and lot of precious professional people working with great passion as this one!
