‘Orcio’ is the name in Italian for this oil-jar.
These are manufactured in Tuscany, near Florence , Impruneta is the well known location for the production of this kind of ‘terraacotta’.
Used by the Romans before us ,nowadays we are using inox ones less beautiful and with no story to tell.
