Elisabeth Barrett Browning, a love story

A love story in Florence : as one ofthe mostprominent English poets Of The Victorian era, in 1842 left England for Italy ~ Florence ~ with her lover – Robert Browning a writer – to spend her life here in This palace Where she died in 1861 June 29th .
She is now buried in The beautiful English cementery in Florence.
On one of these graves Elisabeth wrote an epitaph for a died baby , Lilly Cottrell :
‘ And here among The English tombs,
In Tuscan ground we lay Her,
While The blue Tuscan sky endomes
Our English words for prayer’.
