A small town as Pistoia , squeezes between Florence & Lucca since ever , has the honour to host the first Europe’s nurserypark ,thanks to The Vannucci family Who since 1938 ~ this is The third generation now headed by Vannino Vannucci ( a middle age handsome gentleman ) ~ produces and exports ‘green’ worldwide .
All the plants exposed in this new park are more Than 50 years old and they represent The best Of The Vannucci production.
A site-specific artwork by Claudio Parmiggiani is located in The park and you could see it in one of my picture as a white tall narrow tower as a thin i ivory cipressum as a hope towords The future watching to the sky with roots on earth .
I have had The pleasure to visit it just some minutes before the official Opening and I could be driven around by a small elettrical car so you could see some images without people.
The park was blessed on the little pond located just in the middle of the area by Mansueto Bisnchi the Pistoia’s Bishop.
The most representative Italian & tuscan authorities were there too to welcome this nursery park as an unique treasure in our territory for people living here and for others visiting our area .
Under a black soft ceiling and around a big oval white table took place a very Interesting meeting with different kind of hosts : from experts Of plants, to a renowned actor born in Pistoia , a poet & philosopher from Pistoia, a champion Of football, a business man as Guzzini from The same family who provides original lights for the park, a Dynamocamp representive to explain The involvement Of The Vanucci family in The onlus field.
The conversation was very lovely in a relaxing atmophere as a group Of friends talking about a top subject: trees & green , poems & green , light & plants…
a tree for life and living for plants.
This is what The Vannucci family did in 75 years Of activity and what they offer today to my small town and to its people :a reason more to be proud of it !
Maybe since now on my small town Pistoia Will be known worldwide .
The park is just at Pistoia’s highway exit and for This week-end it is Open to The public.
After by appointment only by request directly to Vannucci piante.
