Munich : Bavaria, Germany
Lived in This beautiful town about 30 years ago to study German language and today I found it still very Interesting , clean , tidy, elegant & safe to be a big city.
The windows shops are shining with New winter collections & restaurants & cafes are very welcoming at any time making you feeling as a local everywhere.
Visited Alois Dallmayr : in The heart Of Munich , just close to Maximillian Strasse ,it is soooo chic, so glam in its sobriety with a natural class That only classical old fashioned store can have!
Founded in about 1700 can offer any kind Of food from vegetables to coffee( in 1930 Mr Dallmayr started buying coffee & roasted it here with an electric roasting machine).
Nowadays you could see ( even in My picts) the beautiful hand painted porcellain vessels from Nymphenburg containing all The different kind Of coffee they still produce.
Its reputation could be compared to Fortum & Mason in London or Fauchon in Paris for its variery Of specialities and its historical setting.
Loved the building , imponent in yellow as a bunch of narcissus !
The atmophere inside is perfect to spend a lot Of time Looking and listening to clients chats & feel as a real munchner and admiring The fountain just near The food department with live crayfish inside..
Couldn’ t miss to have a nice cup of tea ( choosen by a huge selection,Of course) with a slice Of homemade cake or a creme brûlé with apricots or a delicious ice cream , served by a staff in blue blouses & white aprons.
Let’s start visiting it with me!
What a wonderful excursion! The food and ambiance look incredible! I would like some of that coffee please! 🙂
