Dario Cecchini and his Mac Dario: Panzano in Chianti, Tuscany’s taste

Visit Tuscany means not just looking around and visiting museums, castles and …churches

but most of all…….. TASTE IT!

Yes, taste Tuscan food and learn from it   how Tuscan people love  to eat and what  they eat since many generations   with a great pleasure and a sincere  satisfation of SHARING food with OTHERS , yes, even unknown ones!

That’s why you will find big long tables in our ‘Osterie’ , as it is here by Dario Cecchini – maybe the most famous butcher in the world – in his OFFICINA DELLA BISTECCA in Panzano in Chianti, a small village just few kilometres far from Greve in Chianti.

I don’t like the hamburger but this…it is not a real hamburger : it is very thick and soft, a completely different taste from the pressed meat  used  by Mc Donald’s, juicy and tender with fresh  onions, tomatoes and big roasted potatoes as my grandma used to cook when I was a child. Sauces are apart : so  as I don’t like them I could taste a great meal indeed without them.

Another menu is available with Sushi of Chianti ( raw meat with herbs) and chickpeas , tonno of Chianti ( meat that looks like tuna fish )and white Tuscan  beans . As in the old Tuscan tradition you are allowed to bring your own winr if you like and drink it during your lunch.

The table cloth has a description of the cow’s body so that you can understand which part of the animal you are eating beacause, as Dario says ,  all the parts are noble !

So…BUON APPETITO!
