Yesterday evening I visited the 48th edition of this wine event called “Festa del vino”:
Montecarlo is such an amazing small village between Pistoia & Lucca known especially for its white wine but also for the red one .
Unfortunately not many tourists know this rich terroire of wineyards …hope with this post it can have more visibility on line😉because, as you could see from my photos, it is really a lovely place 😍❤️
Many wine estates on its hills covered by wineyards & stunning views on the valley around it.
Small producers for great wines!
The main street that cuts the village just in the middle was so crowed of tables hosting many people not only tasting wine but also having dinner with Tuscan products .
Loved the feeling of being in an hamlet that celebrates wine with mostly Italian people enjoying it sitting on the streets as it used to be in the past , at the end of a sunny day , as my grandparents did outside the main door chatting & drinking🍸🍸🍸🍷🍷🍷
Cin cin my friends from this lovely place!
Montecarlo is a great little town. I wish I could be there for the wine festival, but that is the day I arrive in Bagni di Lucca…maybe next year.

What a pity! but you could eat outside until October , if the weather is still fine, I’ve just asked them yesterday beacause I wish to go back another evening with less people😉👍Maybe it is even better than during the wine festival!
Why don’t you visit Pistoia ( my birthplace) on a market day ( Wed.&Sat morning ) would be nice to meet & have a good cappuccino together☕️☕️
