I had the chance to visit this luxury b&b www.tornabuoniview.comabout an year ago when it was under renovation together with my friend Victoria de Maio – blogger & writer from US – http://www.postcardzfromvictoria.com and we loved it sooo much to decide to choose it as one of our location for our Tuscany tour , in September.
The view is over the tallest & oldest granite column of Florence located in Santa Trinita square called ” Colonna della giustizia” justice column , donated to Cosimo I dè Medici granduke of the city by Pio IV dè Medici in 1563. It’s like you can touch the statue from the balcony of the dining room!
A pure sun light on the breakfast table welcomes me with the owner ‘s smile Mrs Ricciarda & her niece Stefania offered me a tasty warm chocolate cake directly from the oven & a great cup of coffee!
Loved this relaxed atmophere as being a priviliged guest in a florentine house run by locals that love their job & doing this with passion since many years as the same property also runs www.badiafiorentina.com
So, a brand new b&b in an historical palace but in expert hands who knows how to pamper their clients !
The view is not only from one point but also from other rooms’ windows : only 6 rooms in a chic , fresh style with a perfect elegance that only a real Italian lady can offer!
Linen & bathrobes are from a Tuscan producer and the pure white is the main colour in the room with touches of wood.
Along the corridor interesting paintings by a contemporary artist are now on sale & a private cooking class could be made in the common kitchen / dining room on request.
The location is my favourite : in the heart of the city , overlooking the most elegant street – the Fifth Avenue of Florence , via Tornabuoni – & with many restaurants, bar & bistrots where to eat & drink & have shopping & fun !
A perfect retreat even for a solo traveller as you don’t need nothing else than yourself here to be completely happy😉👍👏
What a great position! I would stay there happily.

We were in Florence during the spring/summer of 2014 – heading back in late August. Did I see progressive dinner tours on your website?
