Just outside the city center there is an original location for a restaurant it was until 1995 a wool factory ( Prato in fact it is a very renowned texile district near Florence)belonging to the Abatoni family since the XIII Century and then to the monks of San Fabiano .
It is so beautiful having dinner where there was the artificial channels all in old stones & feeling as being in a secret room , the celler too it’s a little gem indeed!
A family runs this trattoria with seafood dishes ( fried vegetables with fish are a must here! ) & traditional tuscan meat ones such a great tagliata & superb desserts along with a rich wine list make this a perfect place where to stay.
In the summertime a nice little square just outside the trattoria overlooking the open kitchen offers a delightful dinners outdoor.
In the photos you could meet the owners’ couple ,Gabriella & Loriano , Fabio – the son – & the chef.
To be mentioned a particular attention to gluten free products & receipes to complete a hige choice suitable for everyone.
A rivisitated kind of tiramisu that looks like an hamburger but it’s so sweetly tasty …😋😋😋ever seen before & of course to try!
Simply divine. My girlfrend got married in Prato in 2009 at an agriturismo. It was picture perfect.
