A fish cooked in a brick : a seafood dinner in Sardinia

Another summer, another lovely dinner in one of my fav restaurant on the Emerald coast : “Belvedere” near Porto Cervo. It first opened as a gastronomy shop to take away & then during the years it became a real restaurant with few seated places & with excellent seafood dishes .

This time we tasted a local fish , orata , cooked under salt & aromatic Sardinian herbs as mirto  , covered by a clay brick & put into the oven! a real delice , very light & tasty with no added fats & a wonderful smell & taste, of course😋

A stunning view from the terrace on the harbour with several beautiful boats & a fresh  Sardinian seafood , even raw, with a great selection of wines , my fav is  from a Sardinian wine estate  Capichera , to clean the mouth an homemade Mirto  & fennel spirit with some Sardinian  multicolour decorated cookies😋

Don’t miss it if you visit this northern part of the island !
