Every year, at the end of september, the Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes are harvested. The bunches that are the least dense and the most ripe are placed to dry on straw mats. Vin Santo starts from here!
I love this Vin Santo home made by famers around my area in Tuscany. It’s perfect to match with almond biscuits as this one. Meditation wine, also called, I think can be called friendship wine too, as it is so nice to drink and chat with a small glass of it…
Aged for 13 months in the blue sea , 70 metres deepth, at a perfect temperature of 15° . Vermentino grapes, pigiato and bianchetta from the Ligurian cost it is a sparkling wine perfect with seafood and as aperitivo. The bottles are all different covered with sea’s souvenirs.
Have you ever seen such a strange bottle of wine? It is covered by sea food and shells and crabs and you know why? because it stayed into the deep blue sea of the Poets’ Gulf in 5 Terre!
